What are the costs for your kid's party entertainment?

Do you have a minimum time you need to be booked for?

Yes, we require a minimum booking time of 1 hour per activity. This ensures that our performers have ample time to create an unforgettable experience for your event. 

How many children can you accomodate in an hour?

🐯 Face Painting: We can create approximately 10-15 full face designs within an hour.

🎈 Balloon Twisting: Expect around 15-20 balloons to come to life in just one hour.

✨ Glitter Tattoos: We can adorn approximately 20 glitter tattoos within an hour.

💀 Airbrush Tattoos: Get ready for approximately 10 airbrush tattoos to be completed within an hour.

 

There's no strict limit on the number of kids for our character and dance parties. However, to ensure the best experience for everyone involved, we recommend keeping the guest count to 15 or fewer. This allows for more personalized attention and ensures that each child can fully enjoy the festivities.

How do I know which party package to select?

We've curated fantastic options for you to choose from. Mix and match packages or let us craft a custom one just for you! Consider the number of kids attending – pick a package that accommodates everyone to ensure no one misses out.

 

Remember, it's usually not possible to extend on the day due to other bookings. Don't hesitate to reach out to discuss your needs with us for personalized advice.


How long do your activities last for?

The duration of our services varies based on your selected package, the number of activities, and the size of your guest list. Generally, our entertainment packages span from 1 to 3 hours, guaranteeing non-stop fun and excitement for your kids. Additionally, we accommodate larger and longer events with extended entertainment options.
 

How do I book with you?

Booking with us is a breeze! Simply visit our contact page and fill out the form to make an initial inquiry for your event. If you're interested in multiple activities, let us know in the comments. We'll promptly respond, confirm availability, and guide you through the booking process.

 

How far in advance do I need to book?

As soon as possible! Our calendar fills up fast, so we recommend booking well in advance to secure your preferred date and time.

 

Can I make a last minute booking?

While we can't guarantee availability, we're happy to check our schedule and accommodate your request whenever possible. Get in touch with us, and let's see what we can do to make your event extra special!

 

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, a 50% deposit is needed to secure your booking. We consider an event confirmed only upon receipt of this deposit. The remaining balance is due 5 days before the party. Please note that full settlement of the balance is required before the event begins for our attendance.

 

What happens once I've booked my party and paid my deposit?

You'll receive a confirmation email, and I'll reach out during the week of the event to touch base and share any last-minute details. Rest assured, we've got everything under control!

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that sometimes plans change unexpectedly. Once you confirm your booking, we reserve an entertainer exclusively for you. If you cancel, a cancellation fee may apply, as we may have turned down other opportunities for your event. If you need to postpone, please contact us promptly, and we'll do our best to accommodate you. Our full cancellation policy and fees are available here.

How can I pay for your services?

You can easily pay via bank deposit or internet banking before the event date. Please note that we do not accept cash payments. Additionally, for large events, we can arrange credit card payments, though these will incur a merchant fee.


What is GST and why do I have to pay it?

GST, short for Goods and Services Tax, is a consumption tax set at 15% in New Zealand. At Rainbow Circus, we collect GST on our products and services, which is then remitted to the government.

 

We display prices exclusive of GST, as many businesses can claim back this portion if they are also GST registered.


Can our face painter/balloon twister/party games entertainer come in a character costume?

Unfortunately, our face painters, balloon twisters, and party games entertainers do not come in character costumes. However, we do offer character parties as a separate package, featuring professional actors. While our artists don't wear character costumes, they do arrive in fun and colorful outfits to add to the festive atmosphere!


What characters are available for my character party?

At Rainbow Circus, we have an extensive selection of beloved characters, from enchanting princesses to courageous superheroes and many more kid favorites! Plus, we're always adding new and exciting characters to our lineup. Check out our current character offerings for our 'Character Party' package here.


Will the characters and costumes featured on your website be the ones at my party?

We proudly showcase actual costumes, dresses, and wigs on our website. While we may have variations of the same character costume, rest assured they'll be equally delightful. Our versatile performers can embody a multitude of characters, so your experience will be magical, even if they differ from those pictured.

Where can I host my party?

We bring the party to you! Whether it's your cozy home or a rented venue, Rainbow Circus is ready to turn any space into a magical celebration zone. Just let us know where, and we'll be there to spread the joy!

Do I need to provide anything?

For Face Painting, Balloon Twisting, Pamper Parties, and Glitter Tattoos, we've got you covered! We bring almost everything we need for your party. Occasionally, we may request a small table and a couple of chairs for activities like face painting and pamper parties. We'll be in touch during the week of the party to confirm if anything is needed.

Please note, we prefer adult-sized furniture for comfort. However, we can often work with what's available at your venue or utilize a kitchen bench or camping table at your home.

With the exception of discos, we require a well lit, bright space. Natural light is always preferable if possible.

 

For our other entertainers, rest assured they come fully equipped with music, sound systems, arts and crafts, games, prizes, and more! If we're providing character or games entertainment, we kindly ask to be placed in a space away from potential distractions and loud conversations to ensure an engaging experience for the children.

 

Please remember, we don't provide party room decorations or a birthday cake.


How many guests can I invite?

For most of our packages, we recommend a specific number of kids or include a set number in the package. Additional children can usually be accommodated for an extra charge, but advance notice is essential to allow for scheduling adjustments. To ensure a stress-free experience, it's advisable to book extra time if unsure of the exact number of attendees. While there's no strict limit for character or dance parties, we recommend keeping the guest list to 15 or fewer for the best experience.


What if more kids RSVP than I anticipated?

If your guest list grows unexpectedly, reach out to us promptly. Depending on your booked package, we can usually adjust to accommodate additional guests. While extending time on the day is occasionally feasible, please understand our schedule constraints with other events.

What if my guest arrive late?

Our entertainers adhere to a strict schedule to ensure all parties run smoothly. If guests arrive late, they're welcome to join the festivities upon arrival. Unfortunately, we can't delay the party due to our entertainers' commitments. 

For your peace of mind, if you anticipate late arrivals to be a concern, we recommend scheduling our entertainer to begin a bit after the party's official start time. This allows ample time for everyone to arrive, settle in, and fully enjoy the celebration.

 

What happens on party day?

On party day, your experience will vary based on your chosen package. Our entertainer arrives early, fully equipped to deliver the entertainment you've booked. We'll contact you the week of your party to provide arrival details and any necessary instructions. Sit back, relax, and let us handle the fun while you enjoy the celebration!

 

How much space do you need?

For face painting, balloon twisting, and similar activities, only a modest amount of space is necessary. However, for party games, discos, and character parties, more space is ideal, though we can adapt to smaller areas if needed. Just ensure there's ample room for children to sit and dance comfortably!


Are your parties appropriate for all ages?

Absolutely! While our traditional parties cater to ages 3-10, our authentic and engaging performances are enjoyed by all ages. If your party falls outside this range, fret not! We specialize in bespoke parties, crafting activities tailored to your needs. Our entertainers thrive in various settings, from summer fetes to schools, carnivals, dinner parties, and special announcements!

Do you provide face painting for all ages?

Yes, we do! Our talented face painters are masters at creating vibrant designs suitable for both children and adults. While we love seeing 'grown-ups' join in the fun, please understand that due to time constraints, we prioritize children's requests. Rest assured, we'll do our best to accommodate adults at the end of our painting sessions if time permits.

 

Which face paints do you use?

We exclusively use top-tier, non-toxic, professional-grade face paints. These water-based paints are gentle on sensitive skin and meet the highest safety standards.

How easy are the face paints to remove?

Removing our face paints is a breeze! Simply use soap and water or gentle baby wipes for effortless cleanup.


What type of events do you cater for?

We cater to a wide range of events, including birthday parties, public gatherings, and any other special occasions you'd like to book us for. From intimate gatherings to large-scale events, we're here to bring the fun!

 

Do you provide entertainment for large events and festivals?

Yes, indeed! Whether it's a birthday bash, corporate gathering, community festival, or school affair, our entertainment services are tailor-made for any occasion. We're adept at customizing our offerings to match the scale and theme of your event.

How do your services fit in with the rest of my child's party?

Our face painting, balloon twisting, and tattoos seamlessly integrate into your party's flow. They operate throughout the event, adapting to your schedule. We prioritise individual attention, ensuring each child receives our full creative touch without interrupting other activities or dining. While we excel in suggesting optimal entertainment formats, we're equally delighted to accommodate your unique schedule preferences.


Do you offer discounst for sommunity and chairty events>

We understand the importance of supporting charitable causes, but unfortunately, we don't currently offer discounts for such events. Our artists require fair compensation for their time and supplies, and our fixed overhead costs make it challenging to provide discounts. However, we do contribute annually to a charity chosen by our artists as part of our commitment to giving back to the community.
 

Are you insured?

Yes, Rainbow Circus Ltd holds comprehensive Public Liability Insurance.
